Born on October 26, 1961, Uhuru is the son of Kenya’s founding president, Jomo Kenyatta, and Mama Ngina, making him a beloved figure with deep-rooted connections to the nation’s history.

As fuel prices continue to rise, Kenyans are recalling former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cautionary words about the current Kenya Kwanza administration.

Reflecting on a speech made just days before the August 9, 2022, elections, Uhuru warned Kenyans against choosing the Kenya Kwanza government while addressing sugar stakeholders at Nzoia Sugar Company in Bungoma County.
