CCTV Footage Reveals Final Moments of Missing Woman Found Dumped at Lang’ata Cemetery

A family in California Estate, Nairobi, is calling for justice after the tragic murder of their daughter, who disappeared on October 24. CCTV footage has surfaced showing the last moments of Deka Abdinoor Gorone, whose body was later found abandoned at Lang’ata Cemetery.

The footage shows Deka, dressed in a hijab, entering an apartment in Lavington on October 29.

Nairobi – Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have now connected the suspect in the murder of three Eastleigh women to Deka’s case, linking him to this additional killing in Lavington.

According to the DCI, Hashim Dagane Muhumed is the main suspect in the murder of Deka Abdinoor Gorone, who disappeared on October 24, with her body later found dumped at Lang’ata Cemetery.

CCTV footage captures Deka’s last moments alive, as shared by Citizen TV, showing her shopping at Quickmart Supermarket in Nairobi CBD on October 29.

Was Hashim Dagane Muhumed captured on camera? After shopping, Deka headed to a short-stay apartment in Lavington, where CCTV footage captured her entering.

Detectives report that she spent the night there with Dagane, who allegedly killed her. CCTV from the apartment shows a man resembling Dagane leaving on October 31 with two black bags, which police believe contained Deka’s remains later found at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Further evidence from the apartment, where Deka was allegedly killed, confirmed it had been repainted, likely to hide evidence.

“After Dagane left, the apartment owner discovered what had happened, cleaned up, and had the rooms repainted,” the DCI noted.

How did DCI identify Hashim Dagane?

Recently, DCI detectives arrested Dagane, naming him the prime suspect in the brutal murders of three women from Eastleigh.

Days prior, investigators had linked him to the case following a meticulous investigation.

The victims—Dahabo Daud Said, Amina Abdirashid Dahir, and Nusayba Abdi Mohammed—were found in various locations across Machakos and Nairobi after their families reported them missing.

It was discovered that 24-year-old Hashim Dagane had allegedly been driving a Nissan Note (Registration No. KDQ 718Y), which was captured on CCTV picking up the victims from their Eastleigh home on October 21, 2024, just hours before the bodies were found. T

he vehicle was later found abandoned at Wakulima Market near the ENA Coach stage.
