Emotions were palpable as relatives stepped out of a black van, joining mourners gathered to bid farewell to Willis Ayieko.
A woman carrying his portrait wept, her words choked with sorrow, expressing the deep pain of her loss.
Most of the mourners wore black T-shirts emblazoned with Ayieko’s image, with some leaning on others for support as they made their way to the ceremony.

Duncan Onyango, also known as Otuch, was recently apprehended in connection with the murder of Ayieko, the Wells Fargo HR manager.
According to DCI detectives, Onyango’s home was the location where Ayieko was reportedly tortured and killed by his captors.
In an ongoing effort to resolve the case, detectives are pursuing all possible leads to uncover the details surrounding the tragic event.
In a significant development, two women were detained after they were found with Ayieko’s firearm—a critical piece of evidence that has propelled the investigation forward.
Tragically, one of the female suspects was fatally injured in a police confrontation, reportedly during an attempted robbery with violence.
Another arrest was made in connection with the case: Fredrick Otieno Omondi, a boda boda rider from Kisumu, who is accused of transporting Victor Okoth to the site of Ayieko’s abduction.
