Guinea’s Medical Services Overwhelmed After Stadium Tragedy

Prime Minister Oury Bah described the event as a devastating tragedy, as overwhelmed hospitals and healthcare workers continue to provide care to those affected
“The government is monitoring the development of the situation and reiterates its call for calm so that hospital services are not hindered in providing first aid to the injured,” said Bah as quoted by CNN.
The Prime Minister did not divulge the details of what happened inside the stadium but promised more information would follow later.

Guinea Players Criticize FA Over AFCON Appeal
In related news, Trendy News reported that Guinea players and fans have expressed frustration with their Football Association (FA) after it lodged an appeal to disqualify Tanzania from AFCON 2025.
Guinea’s national team, Syli National, failed to secure a spot in the Morocco tournament after losing to Tanzania. However, the FA has filed an appeal with CAF, alleging that the Taifa Stars fielded an ineligible player and seeking to have Tanzania replaced.
The move has drawn criticism from fans and players, who are urging the FA to focus on addressing internal shortcomings rather than pursuing legal disputes.
