Willy Paul Claps Back at Mwijaku’s Threats: “I’ll See 2025 in Jesus’ Name”

Kenyan musician Willy Paul has confidently responded to Tanzanian radio host Mwijaku’s ominous warning that he “won’t see 2025.” Demonstrating unwavering faith, Willy Paul declared he would overcome the threats with the help of Jesus.

The heated exchange follows an ongoing feud between Willy Paul and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz. Tensions flared after the Furaha City Festival in Nairobi, where Diamond’s absence—citing issues with the organisers—sparked allegations of favouritism. Willy Paul publicly accused Diamond and Tanzanian artists of receiving preferential treatment over their Kenyan counterparts, igniting a regional debate.

Mwijaku, a staunch supporter of Diamond, escalated the situation by releasing a video warning Willy Paul of dire consequences. The feud has drawn significant attention across East Africa, leaving fans speculating on what might happen next.

“Willy Paul, you have trespassed into a no-go zone. If you make it to 2025, then I am not Mwijaku.”

In a swift response, Willy Paul shared the clip on Instagram, maintaining his stance and expressing faith in his future:

“Kenyan artists deserve respect. Now, what’s this? Is standing with truth wrong? I will make it through to 2025 and beyond, in Jesus’ name. As I said, I will fight for my country and the Kenyan industry till we get the respect we deserve.”

Did Willy Paul Provoke Zuchu?

Diamond Platnumz’s manager, Sallam SK, recently accused Willy Paul of attempting to block Zuchu, Diamond’s partner, from performing at the Furaha City Festival. Sallam suggested that Willy Paul’s actions were a ploy to stir rivalry with Diamond for publicity. However, Sallam clarified that Diamond’s absence was due to unresolved issues between the event organisers and Diamond’s team, unrelated to any specific artist.

Andrew Kibe’s Advice to Willy Paul

Meanwhile, Andrew Kibe weighed in on the drama, criticising Willy Paul for his alleged behavior during the event. Kibe expressed disappointment, calling Pozze’s actions disrespectful to Diamond. He advised Willy Paul to apologise, stressing the need to honor guests and maintain professionalism in the industry.
