Born into extreme poverty, he faced years of setbacks, including living in a grass-thatched house and struggling to afford education. Over the course of three decades, he sat for the KCPE exams nine times, each time facing financial barriers that kept him from advancing.
Despite these challenges, Nyamlori’s determination never wavered. In 2011, a scholarship from Equity Bank’s Wings to Fly program helped him complete secondary school and pursue a degree in Public Policy and Administration at Kenyatta University. After years of hard work, he graduated in 2021, calling it “a miracle.”
Tragically, just months after his graduation, Nyamlori was diagnosed with gastric cancer. He passed away on January 20, 2024, but his legacy of resilience continues to inspire those who face adversity.
