Diamond Platnumz Reveals Wedding Plans with Zuchu: “Before Ramadan Begins”
Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has dropped a bombshell about his love life, announcing plans to marry his on-and-off lover, Zuchu. This revelation comes shortly after Diamond sparked controversy by publicly referring to Zuchu as “just his artiste” during the popular reality show Young, Famous & African, leaving her visibly embarrassed.
On Sunday, January 19, while addressing a crowd at a political rally in Dodoma alongside fellow singer Nandy, Diamond confirmed his intentions to tie the knot. The father of five promised his fans that the long-anticipated wedding would take place in February, just before the holy month of Ramadan begins.
“I will marry Zuchu before Ramadan. It’s time to settle down,” Diamond declared, sending waves of excitement and speculation through his fanbase.
The announcement marks a dramatic twist in the rollercoaster relationship between Diamond and Zuchu. Fans are eager to see if this high-profile union will finally put an end to the couple’s on-and-off saga. For now, all eyes are on the month of February, as the music powerhouse prepares to say “I do” in what is sure to be one of the most talked-about weddings in East Africa.
How Diamond Platnumz Embarrassed Zuchu on Young, Famous & African
Season 3 of Netflix’s hit reality series Young, Famous & African, released on January 17, has stirred up drama, with Diamond Platnumz at the center of it. The Tanzanian superstar’s behavior left fans confused and his on-and-off lover, Zuchu, humiliated.
While flirting with Ghanaian-American artist Fantana, Diamond openly declared himself single when asked about his relationship with Zuchu. “She is my artiste. You mean Zuchu, right? She’s my artiste,” he said, downplaying any romantic ties to the songstress.
In an attempt to justify his words, the father of five admitted that he sometimes avoids honesty in relationships. “Sometimes, ladies, you need to give them sweet words. You can’t tell them the truth. If you tell them the truth, you will never make them like you more,” Diamond confessed, sparking a flurry of online reactions.
Diamond’s Mixed Signals Leave Fans Puzzled
Just a day later, on January 18, Diamond seemed to contradict himself during a night out at a club. While singing along to Marlaw’s hit song Pii Pii, he grabbed the microphone and professed affection for Zuchu. “Nina siku mingi kwenda home, I am missing my Zuchu,” he sang, leaving fans scratching their heads over his true feelings.
When Will Diamond Marry Zuchu?
The saga took a surprising turn on January 19, when Diamond attended a CCM political rally in Dodoma with fellow artist Nandy. During the event, Diamond confirmed his plans to marry Zuchu before the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking to the crowd, Diamond declared, “I will marry her next month before Ramadan.” Nandy echoed his promise, repeating it loudly for everyone to hear: “Amesema mwezi ujao kabla ya Ramadhan.”
Fans are now eagerly anticipating what could be one of East Africa’s most high-profile weddings, even as they remain skeptical about the rollercoaster dynamics between the couple. For now, all eyes are on February as the drama continues to unfold.
