“Trevoh Chalobah Reacts After Noni Madueke Snatches His Goal in Chelsea Win Over Wolves”

Chelsea star's four-word verdict on Trevoh Chalobah speaks volumes after shock recall - Mirror Online

Noni Madueke found himself in hot water with teammate Trevoh Chalobah after “stealing” a goal during Chelsea’s thrilling 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.

Chalobah, playing his first game since returning from a loan spell at Crystal Palace, delivered a stellar performance. The Chelsea academy graduate was a rock at the back, earning the Man of the Match award and nearly capping off his night with a dream goal.

In the second half, with Chelsea leading 2-1, a Cole Palmer free-kick found Chalobah, whose towering header soared past Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa. The ball was heading over the line when Madueke swooped in, tapping it home and claiming the goal.

Speaking after the match, Madueke admitted his actions were driven by instinct. “It’s an attacker’s instinct,” he explained, laughing off the incident. “I knew it was going in, but I couldn’t resist. I apologized to Trevoh after. He was like, ‘no way you took my goal,’ and I told him, ‘bro, this is what I’m paid to do.’”

Chalobah, however, remained gracious, avoiding any mention of the incident in his post-match reflections. Instead, he expressed gratitude for his return to Chelsea’s lineup, quoting Psalm 23 on social media: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

The moment may have sparked some friendly banter, but Chalobah’s commanding performance proved his return is a massive boost for the Blues.
