In an interview with trendynews.co.ke, Jose claimed that before their breakup, he had been financially supporting Asulay’s music career during their relationship. What happened between Asulay and Mzungu ex-boyfriend? According to Jose, he sent Asulay KSh 50,000 to cover rent and purchase traditional outfits for a music video shoot.

However, Asulay allegedly disappeared with the money, cutting off all communication. Jose further revealed that Asulay had been house-sitting for his mother in Mombasa, and upon his return, he found the house ransacked. He expressed his frustration, stating that the 21-year-old musician had been rude and had blocked him.

“She was house-sitting for my mum. The money was for rent, food, and traditional costumes for her performances. I’m really upset because she swindled me out of KSh 50,000 and left my mum’s house in a mess. She’s on the run,” Jose explained.

He also shared a message he purportedly received from Asulay, in which she admitted her mistakes and requested forgiveness. In the message, Asulay confessed to lying about her background and having a child, expressing that she felt unworthy of Jose because of her circumstances.

“What I have done to you, I can’t forgive myself, and I know you also can’t forgive me. You are the best man I have ever met, but I am not a perfect woman for you. I don’t deserve you… I never told you I had a child because I knew you didn’t want a woman with a child… Please forgive me,” the message read.

Is Asulay on the run? Unsure of the legal steps to take, Jose appealed to both the authorities and the public for assistance in locating Asulay. He even offered a KSh 25,000 reward for anyone who could help find her. “I’m willing to forgive her, but we need to talk first. I hope the police can assist me,” he added.

How did Asulay respond to the allegations? When contacted by trendynews.co.ke, Asulay acknowledged receiving the KSh 50,000 but denied any wrongdoing. She claimed that the money had been a gift from Jose, her boyfriend at the time.

She also accused him of harboring bitterness over their breakup and exposing her out of spite.

“I haven’t conned anyone. Jose was my boyfriend, and he sent the money as a gift. He just used me, and now that I’ve dumped him, he’s exposing me. Money can’t make up for the things he put me through. These foreigners like using young girls,” Asulay responded.
