- Manchester United put on an inspiring performance against Chelsea on Sunday under the guidance of Ruud van Nistelrooy.
- The Red Devils created strong scoring chances through Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee.
- Man United fans were disappointed with Zirkzee’s brief second-half cameo and his subsequent post on social media.
Manchester United fans criticized striker Joshua Zirkzee for his performance against Chelsea on Sunday.
The Red Devils managed to hold the Blues to a 1-1 draw, though both teams’ performances left something to be desired. One player who particularly failed to impress fans was the new signing, striker Joshua Zirkzee.
Zirkzee’s performance vs Chelsea
Interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy substituted Joshua Zirkzee for Rasmus Hojlund in the 84th minute, with the score locked at 1-1.
The former Bologna striker couldn’t secure a game-winner for the Red Devils despite some promising opportunities.
Man United fans expressed disappointment with Zirkzee, Alejandro Garnacho, and other players. Bruno Fernandes’ penalty had put United ahead, only for a brilliant Moises Caicedo volley to level the score for Chelsea.
The Red Devils currently sit 13th in the Premier League after 10 games, with just 12 points—marking their worst season start in over 30 years.

Fans blast Zirkzee Zirkzee shared a post on social media that angered many fans.
@AmorimChapter:
“Zirkzee is not a STRIKER, Amorim has to find a way to have runners like Garnacho and Rashford being fed through him for it to make it work.”
“Currently United setup attack mostly through their width, both wingers stay very wide which is why Zirkzee is struggling in this setup.”
